<p>Freight Australia has denied rumours it is up for sale and is an acquisition target for the Australian Railroad Group.</p> <p>Speculation about Freight Australia’s future has abounded since it failed to purchase FreightCorp and National Rail, leaving it the smallest interstate player in Australia.</p> <p>Last week it was suggested that ARG was taking a serious look at the operation.</p> <p>However, Freight Australia chief executive Marinus van Onselen said he expects the company to be around for some time and it is examining how to grow its business.</p> <p>Mr van Onselen did not completely rule out the possibility of a buy-out but said it would not be a fire sale and would need a very good offer.</p> <br />
