Flood waters close V/Line train and bus services

real time

Due to flood-related impacts, all current V/Line services in Victoria will terminate immediately on the Shepparton, Seymour, Albury, Echuca and Swan Hill lines.

This includes all train, scheduled and replacement coach services and is being done to ensure passenger and staff safety.

The Department of Transport, together with V/Line, is working with passengers to provide emergency accommodation if necessary.

No public transport services will operate on these lines on October 13-14, and a decision will be made on when services can resume on Friday morning.

Services on Geelong, Ballarat and Gippsland lines continue to run, although train services are replaced by coaches along some stretches of the line, and delays are likely.

Regularly updated information on services is available at vline.com.au.

Passengers impacted by the immediate termination should speak to a V/Line staff member or press the emergency button for assistance if they are at an unstaffed station.

Alternatively, they can call the PTV call centre on 1800 800 007.
