<p>In another potentially major development in rail competition, the Federal Court in Sydney will rule on Thursday (February 16) on the dispute between Pacific National and Queensland Rail over control of the Acacia Ridge terminal in Brisbane. </p> <p>The facility connects the north-south network with the port of Brisbane, and acts as the northern hub of the Pacific National network.</p> <p>QR, which owns Acacia Ridge, wants to resume control of the facility to develop a common-user terminal. </p> <p>Pacific National has refused to give up what it says is a long term lease arrangement on the facility.</p> <p>The two have been in the Federal Court since March 2005.</p> <br />
