FCL looks to Patrick for Blayney replacement rail service

<p>FCL is confident that Patrick Rail will step in to replace its Pacific National service between Blayney and Port Botany.</p> <p>FCL chief Bill Gibbins said his company was still "sorting out the details" and he expected Patrick would take over next week.</p> <p>"We are getting there but it’s not over the line yet," Mr Gibbins said.</p> <p>He expected that there would be five to six services a week from FCL’s Blayney terminal.</p> <p>Pacific National is due to end its port container services to Botany by the end of next week.</p> <p>A spokesman for the Pacific National said "alternative arrangements" have been made for the affected services.</p> <p>The company is also engaged in discussions on guaranteeing access to Pacific National facilities &#8211 yards and sidings &#8211 on "fair and reasonable terms", he said. </p> <br />
