<p>EDI Rail has won the contract to provide a $60m rollingstock package this year for the soon-to-be-completed Alice Springs-Darwin railway.</p> <p>The company will supply Asia Pacific Transport with four diesel electric 4 FQ class locomotives, 150 articulated container wagons and provide maintenance services for 10 years.</p> <p>Asia Pacific Transport will use the rollingstock to carry containerised freight on the Alice Springs-Darwin link and then on to the national standard gauge rail network. </p> <p>EDI will build and assemble the stock at its facility in Port Augusta for delivery in December. </p> <br />
