Description
Fruit Washing Plant, Brand: Burgess Unit is a stainless steel fruit washing plant that was previously washing sultanas at a rate of over 1000kg per hr.
The berries fall through a grille into a washing weir tank where a jet of water sprays them.
Ripple plates trap any stones.
Another pump draws the water and fruit from the weir tank and propels them to the cyclone where grit and sand are removed. The fruit is then pumped via a polyethylene pipe to a rotary basket to dewater.
Capstems are removed and the fruit falls into the spin drier then to the discharge.
Sieved water is recycled.
