Deluge still disrupting Brisbane transport links

<p>Southeast Queensland was still reeling today from the heavy rains that have cut highways and rail lines, prompting premier Anna Bligh to activate the State Disaster Management Group.</p> <p>The west and northwest of Brisbane bore the brunt, though floodwaters are easing. </p> <p>The port of Brisbane escaped disruption, a spokeswoman told <em>Lloyd’s List DCN</em> .</p> <p>Traffic on the Centenary and Warrego highways was halted and the Inner-City Bypass was closed overnight, the ABC reported.</p> <p>Suburban rail lines along with the Ipswich link were closed to localised flooding but have been reopened.</p> <br />
