Deegan reappointed as IA coordinator

<span class="" id="parent-fieldname-description"> Michael Deegan has been reappointed as the Infrastructure Coordinator, a position responsible for overseeing the operations of Infrastructure Australia. </span> <p>Federal minister for transport and infrastructure Anthony Albanese announced Deegan’s reappointment on March 13, thanking him for agreeing to a second five-year term.</p><p>“Mr Deegan has brought a wealth of experience to the job and since his initial appointment in 2008 he has made an outstanding contribution to this Government’s ambitious nation building agenda,” Albanese said.</p><p>Albanese told Rail Express that under Deegan’s stewardship, Infrastructure Australia has already driven significant reforms to the way our nation plans, assesses, fincances, builds and uses the infrastructure it needs to compete in the 21st century.</p><p>“Under Deegan’s first term as coordinator, “the representative continued, “Infrastructure Australia completed the first ever audit of Australia’s infrastructure, put in place a national priority list to guide investment into nationally-significant projects, developed national public private partnership (PPP) guidelines, and finalised long term National Port Strategy and the National Freight Strategy.”</p><p>&nbsp</p><p>&nbsp</p>
