VIDEO: A 62-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been charged after they allegedly got into an altercation over noise onboard a train between Dapto and Wollongong on September 14.
Police allege around 8.30am on Monday, September 14 a group of youths were travelling in the quiet carriage of a train between Dapto and Wollongong railway stations, when they were asked to leave due to noise levels.
Shortly after leaving, however, the group allegedly returned to the carriage, at which point they were confronted by a 62-year-old man.
The man and a 16-year-old boy became involved in an altercation, police allege, which continued when they got off the train at Wollongong station.
A video surfaced online earlier last week which claims to show the end of an affray at Wollongong at around 8.30am.
Officers from NSW Police Transport Command arrested a 62-year-old on Wednesday, September 16. Police arrested a 16-year-old on Thursday, September 17.
The man was issued with a future service court attendance notice for common assault and affray to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on November 3.
The boy was issued a future service court attendance notice and will appear at a children’s court.
