Bulk rail and network operator Aurizon has announced the retirement of John Cooper, who has been a member of the company’s Board since April 2012.
Cooper has decided to retire for health reasons.
Aurizon chairman Tim Poole thanked him for his contribution and support.
“John has been a force for positive change during his time as a director of Aurizon. He has been instrumental in our focus on safety, people and culture and leadership renewal as we execute our transformation,” Poole said.
“John has been a highly effective and valuable member of our Safety, Health & Environment, Nomination & Succession, and Remuneration & Human Resources Committees.”
Cooper has 35 years’ experience in the construction and engineering sector. He has been a director of NRW Holdings, WestConnex, and UGL Limited among other businesses.
