<p>Connex and Auckland Regional Council have agreed to a partnership to improve Auckland’s passenger rail services under a New Zealand government transport package</p> <p>The government has promised that public transport improvements will be the focus of a NZ$1.62bn funding package for Auckland’s transport.</p> <p>It said existing networks must be improved because it was not possible to simply build a way out of the city’s transport problems. </p> <br />
