CityRail claims it is on target for on-time running

<p>Sydney commuter rail system CityRail says that train running performances have exceeded the operator’s 92% target for the whole year to date.</p> <p>The September figure of 94.2% has kept the annual average at 93%. </p> <p>On-time running during the key morning peak was 43% from July through to September, and 47% for the afternoon peaks during the same period. </p> <p>The average number of skipped stops per day was 21, against the performance target of 40.</p> <p>The Eastern Suburbs line over the short distance from the CBD to Bondi Junction was the best performing line and the East Hills line to Macarthur was the worst performing line. </p> <br />
