Cazaly chooses PN to haul ore from Parker project

<span class="" id="parent-fieldname-description"> Asciano has bolstered its presence in Western Australia’s rail haulage market with Cazaly Resources choosing Pacific National for bulk haulage from its Parker Range iron ore project. </span> <p>By Sineva Toevai and Jennifer Perry</p><p>PN Bulk Rail will provide capital items such as locomotives and wagons in addition to rail haulage services from Parker Range to the port at Kwinana, Cazaly Resources said.</p><p>“The combination of the PN Rail business and the Patrick Ports business makes Asciano Australia’s only independent provider of a fully integrated port and bulk rail logistics solution,” the Perth-based company said.</p><p>“Pacific National has a significant presence on Western Australia’s standard gauge network and operates the largest rail freight terminal in Australia at Kewdale which will be the operational base used to support the Parker Range Iron Ore Project.”</p><p>The Parker project, located 400 km east of Perth in the under-developed Yilgarn Iron Ore Province, is expected to cost more than $100m.<br />&nbsp</p>
