Victoria’s Level Crossing Removal Authority has put out the call for community members for groups set up as part of level crossing removals in Carrum and Reservoir.
A Stakeholder Liaison Group will be established to share information with the community about construction impacts and activities in Carrum, where a pair of level crossing removals are taking place, and $50 million is being spent to revitalise the area around the railway.
The Liaison Group – for which community members can register their interest until February 14 – will comprise stakeholders and community members who represent the views and interest of residents, traders and community groups, the Level Crossing Removal Authority said.
Meanwhile, a Community Reference Group is being established to share information with the community about construction impacts surrounding the removal of the High Street level crossing at Reservoir, incorporating the rebuilt of Reservoir Station.
Comprising stakeholders and community members, the Community Reference Group will meet every eight weeks, with members asked to share information with their respective community networks.
Registrations for the Reservoir group are open until February 6.
