<p>Bryan Nye is set to take over as chief executive of the Australasian Rail Association. </p> <p>Mr Nye comes from the Australian Institute of Petroleum and will take over from the temporary CEO, Dr Fred Affleck.</p> <p>Former CEO John Kirk left the ARA in February after the board decided that the group needed a new direction that reflected rail privatisation, a more multimodal membership, and new federal initiatives such as AusLink and the Australian Logistics Council. </p> <br />
