<p>Queensland-based Bradken has produced its 2,000th iron ore wagon in a contract for Rio Tinto’s Pilbara Iron.</p> <p>The rolling stock, which is being produced at the company’s Ipswich factory, is part of a series of contracts which started in 2000. </p> <p>By the time that all the contracts have been delivered, Bradken will have built 2,660 wagons valued at $300m.</p> <p>By building the Pilbara wagons in parallel with an order for another customer, Bradken has been completing wagons at a rate of 44 a week.</p> <p>Pilbara Iron Railways is expanding to meet production increases from seven mines transporting export ore to Dampier and Cape Lambert. </p> <br />
