Bracks claims Victoria as the best state for transport

<p>Victorian premier Steve Bracks declared Sydney and the rest of Australia should be envious his state’s superior transport infrastructure.</p> <p>Announcing government approval for the sale of Freight Australia to Pacific National yesterday (Monday August 16), Mr Bracks said that when all facilities were considered, Victoria had the nation’s best transport infrastructure.</p> <p>"You think of what we have in Victoria, we’ve got the western ring road with great transport access onto interstate highway routes we have a curfew-free airport, we’ve got a deepwater port, the best in Australia, which will have more development in it," Mr Bracks said.</p> <p>"If you’re in Sydney or somewhere else in Australia you’d be killing for this sort of opportunity.</p> <p>"They don’t have that sort of infrastructure that we have here."</p> <br />
