<p>A transport plan to help development in border regions of New South Wales and Queensland is almost complete.</p> <p>The Queensland Government said the draft border integrated transport plan was in the final phase of public consultation, and already has the approval from the Queensland and NSW governments and the relevant town and shire councils.</p> <p>It aims to develop a safe and efficient transport system looking at future land use, as well as roads, rail and air services.</p> <p>"We can significantly enhance our future communities by providing new road networks to growing communities, managing development in existing communities, matching aviation services to needs and improving freight and passenger rail facilities," Queensland transport minister Paul Lucas said. </p> <br />
