<p>Babcock & Brown Infrastructure (BBI) has been stung by criticism from Queensland premier Peter Beattie describing Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) as the “worst port” in the state.</p> <p>Mr Beattie told the Q400 business summit in Brisbane on Friday (August 24) that he was “an idiot” for selling DBCT on a 99-year lease in 2001.</p> <p>"The thinking behind it, which was quite clever at the time, was if we had a private port competing with Government-owned ports it would keep everyone honest,” Mr Beattie told the conference.</p> <table width="150" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="right" height="237"> <tr> <td width="292" height="10"><div align="center">
