<p>The Queensland branch of the International Cargo Handling Co-ordination Association is to host leading Australian naval architect Stuart Ballantyne at a lunch meeting on Thursday, May 25, at the Queensland Rugby Club, Ballymore.</p> <p>Mr Ballantyne will speak on why Australia needs a coastal shipping industry to succeed as a nation. He aims to blow away some of the misconceptions on coastal shipping and Australia’s present reliance on road and rail transport. </p> <p>Mr Ballantyne is managing director of Sea Transport Solutions, which employs 27 naval architects with projects all over the world and interests in shipyards in Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. </p> <p>The cost of the lunch will be $70.
