<p>The first two Australind train carriages for the Perth-Bunbury service are now in operations.</p> <p>These carriages are part of a $1.5m overhaul of the Perth-Bunbury service.</p> <p>Work includes a facelift of the carriage interiors to make the trip more comfortable, refitting the buffet kiosk and mechanical improvements to ensure the service is reliable.</p> <p>The remaining three Australind carriages will be upgraded by the end of the year.</p> <p>Infrastructure minister Alannah MacTiernan said she believes patronage can grow on this service. </p> <p>The upgrades are designed to attract passengers and ways of increasing user numbers are being studied.</p> <br />
