Key Source Rail (KSR) had one of the most fully-stocked stands at AusRAIL PLUS, with the company displaying its full range of extensive railway wagon and locomotive building products and solutions.
With offices and workshops in Midland, Western Australia, Brisbane, Queensland, and Newcastle, New South Wales, the business oversees the design, manufacture, quality control and commissioning of freight and ore wagons, ballast wagons, grain hoppers, crew cars and locomotives for the Australian and overseas markets.
Chief executive officer David Gallagher said there was positive response to the Geismar range of railway maintenance plant and equipment in Australia, for which KSR was the main distributor in the country.
Geismar is a recognised world leader in the manufacture of equipment and services for track laying, rail maintenance and track measurement and recording.
One of the products was the Amber manual track recording unit, an electronic hand-pushed trolley for track geometry parameter measurements.
“The trolley provides real-time measuring and displaying of all track geometry parameters stored on a smartphone, which can be processed thereafter on a PC,” he said.
“It helps maintain conformity to the local track standards, whether it’s gauge, cross level, twist, alignment, distances.
“Due to its lightweight and ergonomic aluminium design, the track geometry trolley can be folded up in just a few steps for easy transportation to the worksite and quickly assembled on track.”
Key Source Rail also has sole distribution rights in Australia and New Zealand for Rosehill removable crossings.
“We have overseen the supply and installation of these from the harsh conditions of the Pilbara to inner city, suburban and regional county installations in Victoria, WA and New South Wales,” Gallagher said.
The Rosehill rubber crossings are highly sustainable, made from recycled tyres, instead of traditional bitumen and concrete for the surface.
“Large railway owners are turning to this product and embracing this as a greener, more sustainable solution for pedestrian, vehicular and track access panels and crossings,” Gallagher said.
