<p>AuIron Energy can negotiate access to the Wirrida-Tarcoola rail line operated by Asia Pacific Transport after the Federal Government endorsed the National Competition Council’s declaration recommendation.</p> <p>The mining company plans to use the line to haul coal and iron from its sites in the Lake Philipson region to Port Augusta, Stirling North and Whyalla.</p> <p>AuIron now has a legal right to negotiate access with Asia Pacific Transport, the consortium behind the Alice Springs-Darwin railway, and have any disputes arbitrated by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.</p> <p>The decision is effective from September 27.</p> <br />
