<p>Asian logistics firms and electrical appliance outlets are among companies due to hold detailed discussions on sending freight on the Adelaide-Darwin railway, the Northern Territory Government has said.</p> <p>Chief minister Clare Martin said the interest in the rail line was expressed after her address to Singapore’s chamber of commerce.</p> <p>"When companies such as Mitsubishi spend $100,000 a day on storage in Australia, it is clear that significant savings will be made through the railway," she said.</p> <p>The line is due to open for freight early next year, upon completion and testing of the link presently under construction.</p> <br />
