Another 80,000 tonnes of cargo for Adelaide-Darwin rail

<p>FreightLink today (Friday, April 2) signed a contract with Northline Freight to carry up to 80,000 tonnes of cargo a year on the Adelaide-Darwin railway.</p> <p>FreightLink CEO Bruce McGowan said his company wants to develop along the rail line the expertise for which Northline is renowned &#8211 the storage and distribution of specialised and sensitive cargo.</p> <p>Northline said it is still committed to using road services along the corridor.</p> <p>FreightLink said it has transported 65,000 tonnes of cargo since the Adelaide-Darwin service began 10 weeks ago. </p> <br />
