ALC forum set for March in Sydney

<p>The Australian Logistics Council, a partnership between Australia’s federal and state governments and senior leaders of the logistics industry, is holding its 2006 annual forum in Sydney on March 2-3.</p> <p>The 2006 Forum will hear from the transport minister Warren Truss and other senior industry figures on the role of transport and freight logistics in the Australian economy. </p> <p>A major task for the Australian Logistics Council is to tackle the barriers now imposed on freight-related infrastructure. </p> <p>To ensure industry priorities are addressed, a section of the forum has been dedicated to facilitate an open discussion on the topic. </p> <p>The forum will also include a tour of Port Botany, with a particular focus on its expansion plans, hosted by Sydney Ports Corporation on the afternoon of Thursday, March 2 .</p> <br />
