ALC farewells chief executive Kirk Coningham

Rachel Smith is acting CEO of the ALC, as the industry body seeks a replacement for Kirk Coningham.

THE Australian Logistics Council has bid farewell to chief executive, Kirk Coningham OAM whose last day is 31 May.

Recruitment for a replacement CEO continues with the ALC Board commending the “high quality and volume of talent” currently progressing through the recruitment process.

While the recruitment is underway, Rachel Smith has been appointed as interim CEO.

Smith joined the ALC in August 2020 as director – policy and advocacy.

“With demonstrated success in leadership positions in member organisations, policy and advocacy and business operations, the board is confident in her ability to manage the ALC through this transitional period,” an ALC board statement read.

“The board commends and thanks Kirk for his leadership of ALC and services to our end-to-end supply chain industry.

“We wish him well in his future pursuits and look forward to making a smooth transition to a new CEO in due course.”
