<p>Queensland’s Airtrain operation is struggling because of low passenger numbers and the state government could take it over, according to press reports.</p> <p><em>The Australian</em> newspaper reported the Queensland Treasury is in discussions with management of the Brisbane airport rail service about cutting costs and restructuring.</p> <p>The project was a public private partnership and if Airtrain fails to survive the State Government can step in and take control.</p> <br />
