Adelaide Metro will temporarily close part of the Gawler rail line all day on Saturday 1 March 2025.
This closure will allow for signalling works on the Ovingham Level Crossing Removal Project.
From 1.30am Saturday, 1 March to 5.30am Sunday, 2 March, services will not operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Salisbury Railway Station. Trains will operate as usual between Salisbury and Gawler railway stations.
The GA1 and GA2will operate as substitute bus routes, servicing all missed stops.
- The GA1 will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Salisbury Railway Station (stopping at all stops).
- The GA2 express service will operate between Adelaide Railway Station, Mawson Lakes Railway Station and Sailsbury Railway Station.
These bus services will operate as closely as possible to the train timetables for the duration of the closure.
However, passenger are encouraged to plan ahead as substitute bus services can be slower to destinations due to traffic conditions, roadworks and accidents.
The normal timetable will resume from first service on Sunday, 2 March.
