Adelaide-Darwin rail freight starts this week

<p>The inaugural freight train on the newly completed Adelaide-Darwin rail line will depart Adelaide on Thursday (January 15).</p> <p>A bandwagon of politicians and VIP guests will greet the first FreightLink train on its various stops through South Australia and the Northern Territory to trumpet the new service.</p> <p>Meanwhile, Northern Territory MP Dave Tollner has said federal opposition leader Mark Latham is one politician not welcome at the celebrations, the ABC said</p> <p>Mr Tollner said Mr Latham had previously referred to the rail project as "shonky" and "a white elephant", the ABC reported. </p> <br />
