<p>Thiess Hochtief Alstom Group has won the $858m Parramatta Rail Link contract – the largest single infrastructure contract a New South Wales government has awarded.</p> <p>The work will start by the end of the year, transport minister Carl Scully said.</p> <p>The project includes the construction of a 14-km tunnel from Epping to Chatswood, due to open by mid 2008.</p> <br />
