$17m Peth contract for BMA and Alstom

<p>Barclay Mowlem Construction subsidiary BMA and Alstom Australia have been awarded a $17m contract to construct a 15.5-km rail extension to Clarkson in north Perth.</p> <p>The contract is for the design and construction of the track, signalling, traction power, control and communications infrastructure and to provide a track connection from Clarkson to a proposed rail servicing depot at Nowergup.</p> <p>The extension to the northern suburbs transit system is expected to increase passenger numbers on this network from 45,000 to 50,000.</p> <br />
