AusRAIL PLUS 2009: don't miss out
|
With less than a month to go, AusRAIL PLUS is the largest annual rail event in the Asia-Pacific and not to be missed. |
By Jennifer Perry
“AusRAIL is the premier rail conference for the year,” ARA chief executive Bryan Nye said.
“It provides an update to those working in the industry to be informed of the key strategic and political issues facing the industry and the plans that are being put in place to meet the challenges of the future.”
Held on November 17th-19th at the Adelaide Convention Centre, AusRAIL features a 3-day conference and a major exhibition that will showcase the latest equipment, technical developments and business opportunities.
AusRAIL is a truly international event and will draw on the knowledge of over 90 leading industry speakers from within Australasia and across the globe.
Daily plenary sessions will bring together top-flight industry decision makers and allow delegates to join in key industry debates.
Afternoon technical streams across day one and two of the event will cover a wide range of topics, with presentations providing in-depth and insightful information on specific areas of technical expertise.
Day three of the conference will feature the CEO’s Forum – a rare opportunity to see major players get together in an open discussion, with rail professionals invited to put their questions directly to the future planners of rail. For the first time, day one of the conference will feature a separate Rail Suppliers CEO Forum.
AusRAIL offers plenty of networking opportunities with a wide range of industry participants from Australasia as well as Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia.
Social events include Exhibition Networking Drinks on Tuesday November 17th, the RTAA Yellow Tie Dinner on Wednesday November 18th and the AusRAIL PLUS 2009 Gala Dinner on Thursday November 19th – book now, there is limited space available.
For the first time, a Conference Welcome Reception will be held on Monday November 16th, where delegates will hear from ARTC’s David Marchant and Infrastructure Australia’s Sir Rod Eddington.
This year’s theme of ‘doing more with less’, invites you to reflect and share knowledge about efficient and effective ways to meet the challenge of growing the industry with limited capital available, and will focus on how the rail industry is shaping up in the current climate and how it can keep strong for the future.
